are there missing chapters between 108 and 109? there seems to be a pretty large unexplained time jump.

ouch, they were fixed, but the company i have to publish through take for ever to update when I do. pretty rough comment for something I can't immediately fix.

I don't think your publishing company's mistakes are the readers fault. The reader only has to take into consideration what they experienced not what you wanted them to.
