Eventhough the synopsis was well written but once i started the 1st chap i don't feel like reading because of the name change that really disturbs me to read as i was fixed on the names given in synopsis...

The story may be good but I didn't read it just because it uses English names for the characters.Like I am so used to Chinese names that it feels akward to read English names in translated novel.Hope the author can use the name used in sypnosis maybe I ll be back later.

Status: chapter 23 It's a interesting read, but I had issues with it. I'm normally someone who can even bear with reading mtl, so I normally am not too critical about the translations, but I do have an issue with this one. In general, webnovel seems to be releasing a lot of chinese novels where the novel has been reset in a differnt country and given more western names. The problem with this is the countries are very differnt and it feels off when you read them. Examples: drinking age is 21+ in the US, but one of the novels that had been up had the principal drinking with his middle school or high school students; or the students were supposedly in the US, but the college entrance exam was closer to what they have in China, etc. The setting has relocated them to California, i think. This isn't too much of an issue, since it kinda makes sense because they work in entertainment. The issue with the setting change is there is not much attempt to adjust to the setting. The synopsis gives the names in chinese, the novel changes the names to more generic american names, which really isn't much of an issue, but the characters continue to use chinese currency and use WeChat, which doesn't make too much sense with the character and setting adjustments. This book would've gotten a way better rating from me had the actual novel been what the synopsis showed. I might actually mtl this story for myself since I'm a sucker for this type of plot ( ⁼̴̀ .̫ ⁼̴́ )✧

I wanted to read this because based on the sypnosis the story is nice and cute. however, when I started reading the first chapter it was like a different story. I even checked the title a few times to make sure I’m reading the right novel.

I felt scammed cause the name are different, that i thought they put the wrong synopsis. i didnt end up reading because changing the names into western ones is such a turn off for me.

Though the story is different from the synopsis, the FL who seems ditzy yet cute & adorable is quite captivating. & the ML who seems innocent yet mysterious compliments her
