With an intriguing story centred around the relationship of one boy and his demon attendant, a vast, neigh, boundless world to explore and some genuinely clever and funny moments, there’s a lot to enjoy in The Tale of the Strongest. It’s a shame that despite all of its merits, it’s mired down by poor characterisation and suboptimal writing. Still, if you’re looking for something to occupy your time on a slow weekend or while you’re riding on your train, there’s a lot to enjoy in this story as long as you go in expecting a fun ride sans depth of character as opposed to an exploration of the nature of man. Oh, and you had better have some thick skin to boot. This is an excerpt from my full review that you can read on my wordpress blog: clonereviews. Check out my profile for the link.
