Tbh by that process it is an object. After all, he created the body, and whilst the soul isn't his... The body technically is if he litterally created it. That makes it a moral dilemma, and a form of copyright infringement. After all, it's like building the exact same house as someone else, but then inviting them to live in yours. Does that still make you retain ownership of the house you invited them to? Another question is whether the soul inserted is really lily's. For all we know, the object summons not a genuine soul but creates a construct with a personality imprint based on your idea of someone's personality. In which case, is said imprint still said person, and since said person is dead and the construct might well be another object of your making, it makes the outcome in either body and soul being objects a very controversial thing. Ultimately, if they are both a construct made by his imagination then giving Snape a replica version of lily, is technically the same as handing him an object, because technically she would be. Morality wise tough, it becomes a very slippery sloap, where does it start, and where does it end?
