I am being harsh on this novel because I enjoyed it, and I would certainly like to see it get better. I will talk about my main few peeves about this novel. First, there is absolutely no tension. There are no special points in the novel that make your blood boil or you feel excited. The MC is just invincible, such that you know he’s never going to lose. When overpowered is a tag, you would expect to be a kind of face slapping novel right? Wrong. And that is a kind of segue into my next point. Second, I am not feeling any direction really. Perhaps that is because the story is still in it’s opening parts, the story is just meaningless babble for now. The MC has no purpose really, he just wanders around, with his students or some other people. In reality, this is probably what he is trying to do, but it’s no fun watching an MC without purpose. Third, just a minor peeve of mine, the name of the novel is Professor Kal. Yet, he is basically sidelined for a while as some of the higher status characters discuss, and his students go off on adventures of their own for what feels to be a greater part of the novel to me. Even though he is in certain scenes, his presence is barely noticeable as a reader. Fourth, I have just realized this as of writing the review, but Kal has made no progress. Just like in a certain manga, Rent-A-Girlfriend, I thought it was good just because I was having fun, but looking back, no progress was made. The only substantial things were Kal getting a job and taking in a student. Everything else has basically not mattered at all. Fifth and last, one of the most minor things, wording is kind of funky sometimes, but those were in the earlier chapters, and those problems have mostly gone away for now. Now, to talk about the good parts of this story. The MC is a great realist. He doesn’t do things without benefit for himself. Next, the side characters are given the time they need to shine, they have distinct personalities. However, the problem with this, is that people get bored easily, and I tended to skim over such things. More good parts are that there is almost definitely a deeper plot happening here, but if there is no payout after waiting all that time, I doubt I’ll stick around any longer. Basically, there are situations with time put into being read, but there is no sufficient payout to justify that reading time put in. I feel like author needs to make these situations have more payout for the reader, for spending their time reading all this, because I have only felt minor payouts in the form of small jokes, but I haven’t found anything exceptionally interesting or comedic. Alright, I should end my tangent here. I’m being harsh on this novel because I want it to improve, of course, there’s no denying the possibility that it has already been improved, since I haven’t read to the latest chapter yet. However, I would still like my thoughts to be known. Writing quality: 4/5 Story development: 2/5 Character design: 4/5 World bg: 3/5

Professor Kal is a story about Kal, a lich who hid his phylactery in another plane, granting him pseudo-immortality and a lot of power. He decides to explore the world since he hasn't left his cave for over two millennia. Mildly interesting story, however the execution left much to be desired. Writing quality is below average, there's a lot of awkward writing, small mistakes, and some of the dialogue is very cringy and unrealistic. (3/5 stars) Story development is quite bad. It's a typical overpowered protagonist story, where the main character is a teacher. The concept is somewhat decent, but the execution was quite poor. There are constant POV shifts to people I don't really care about. We have fights with said irrelevant people that makes the whole thing even more boring, especially when the main character is basically God. While a lot of stories have annoying POV shifts that completely ruin the flow, and makes me skip a lot of chapters, this novel is especially bad. Instead of separating the POV shifts and making them small, the author will release them in batches, so there's 2 - 5 chapters straight of different POVs. I find myself skipping several chapters at a time. (2/5 stars) Character design is meh. While the main character is comedic, and the dialogue is rather interesting, everything is bland. Every single one of these characters have very bland and cliché motivations. It is very hard to get invested into any of these characters. It feels like you are watching a play when you've already memorized the script. (2/5 stars) World background. It's rather bad to be honest. Theres very little information about spells and alchemy, aside from "use mana to make spell" or "combine ingredients until you get a cool colored potion", considering theres a fair bit of that in this novel, it's rather annoying. Aside from that, the author has very little world building in general, and almost exclusively uses exposition dumps in other POVs. (2/5 stars) Overall, a somewhat interesting concept for a novel but sub-par execution. Characters are bland, writing quality leaves you wanting, story development leaves you more annoyed the further you get into the novel, and world background is quite bland as well. I give this novel 2.8 stars out of 5.

Shocked voices could be heard from the people and there was some which were also filled with scorn. Grey stood dazed amidst all the noises without any reactions. One word was constantly reverberating in his head, 'How?'. 'Why, why did this happen to me?' Grey asked himself over and over again **************** Unbeknownst to Grey, something greater lies in wait in his body.... *************** Check out the book, leave a review after reading, and also your powerstones. Hope you enjoy this, and Thanks for reading ^_^ P.S: When I started this book I had zero writing experience, so the first chapters aren't that great, although, my writing quality has improved over time. Also, English isn't my first language, so there are some instances where my choice of words are not good enough for what I'm trying to portray. A heads up, the book will be using a medieval setting. My world building is not the best, but it gets better over time, so bear with me on the early chapters! P.S: Cover art not mine I just edited it. Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.
