Started out good but I do not approve the direction in which this novel is going. I've gotten to chapter 170 in the raws and the MC is still alone in his shelter. There is almost no human contact which makes the novel terribly boring. There's almost zero sense of growth in the MC. He behaves the same as when he just started. No emotional issues as well which is not what you would expect in an apocalypse novel. He spends days alone in his shelter and even his first kill did not bother him. Overall, the novel becomes terribly repetitive and uninteresting due to the complete lack of relationships and character growth. Do not read.

It started good but now it's becoming ridiculous. Killing someone is portrayed as a applying justice on behalf of heaven. 🤦 America is bad because of only caring about helpful & working people In an APOCALYPSE. While Huaxia is good while slaving everyone to the extreme but they are doing to represent hope. 🤦😑

They read the RAWs, which are the original untranslated ones.

Yes but its not very fun if reading the novels feels like reading a minecraft commentary in single player.

This novel isn't being written by the author on webnovel , they're translating a novel from another language (raw).

I read until the last update chapter in mtl and I lived it. mc clearly show he is affected by his time without contacting other humans you can see this by how he treat his pet dog and chicken he take in. and for the apocalypse part if you read you would understand that the earth they come from suffered a doomsday of meteor and he and everyone on earth perished. mc prefer to do things alone because he want to create the best environment to his family that will come to this world later.

Yes but hundreds of chapters on his interaction between him and his pet chicken is not interesting. The fact that he did not have any reaction when killing humans alone for the first time in the apocalypse is just bad writing as well. Plus many other things. I do not enjoy a novel where there is no growth nor interaction with other humans.

um, probably quite a sizable portion of all people on earth would not bat an eye after killing someone in self defence or desperation. its not as life defining as most people think. hollywood just made it out to be a thing that makes u insane after doing

It does not have to be life defining but there has to be a reaction or comment. If there is no reaction it has to be explained why. The lack of psychological explanations make the book extremely plain to read: the main character never shows any emotion. As I mentioned, it feels like reading a single player minecraft commentary.

Lack of relationship means not interesting? Why don't you stick to romance novels.

Intergalactic conquest with an AI

Rex was just another slave in the corporate machine, a faceless office worker under the shadow of one of the galaxy's powerful megacorps. His life was predictable and dull, an endless cycle of meaningless reports and fluorescent-lit monotony. That was, until that day.... When a new world was discovered on the outskirts of the galaxy, Rex, like countless other low-ranking employees, found himself dragged into a contract clause he’d barely skimmed years ago. The megacorp ordered him and his coworkers to pack their lives into a transport pod and leave for the unexplored planet. Their mission? Establish a colony. Mine resources. Make the company richer. There was no choice, refusing meant ruin. At first, everything seemed manageable. The days were grueling, the nights cold, but progress was steady. The colony was coming to life. Until the excavation team struck something. No one knew what it was at first, a buried hive, a forgotten ecosystem, or something ancient and dangerous. Whatever it was, it unleashed hell. Swarms of enormous, chittering creatures erupted from the ground, their jagged bodies blotting out the sky. The colony fell into chaos. Screams echoed through the air as the bugs tore through everything in their path, walls, machines, and people. Rex barely survived. Bloodied, broken, and pinned beneath the rubble, he should have died there. But in the pitch-black silence of his fading consciousness, a voice spoke to him. Cold. Mechanical. Otherworldly. "Do you wish to live?" When Rex woke, he was no longer the man he’d been. His body was no longer human flesh and bone but something far more alien. His skin shimmered with living metal, his mind infused with the power of Cleo, a mysterious AI from a long-extinct, robotic race known as the Kaelzars. Cleo’s presence pulsed through his thoughts, guiding him and transforming him. He wasn’t just alive. He was reborn. But survival came at a price. Rex was no longer a pawn of the megacorp; he was something more dangerous, something they couldn’t control. As Cleo’s intentions began to reveal themselves, Rex found himself standing on the precipice of war, not just with the bugs but with forces far greater than he could have imagined. This was the beginning of a journey through blood-soaked battlefields and treacherous alliances. Along the way, Rex would encounter allies, brilliant, flawed, and unpredictable, and enemies whose ambitions were as sharp as their blades. These weren’t disposable foes, easily crushed by an overpowered hero. They were cunning, relentless, and human in the most terrifying ways. But then again, in war, who can truly be called a villain?
