The synopsis is very intriguing and the premis of the story is in and of itself great. Unfortunately, the execution is... lackluster at best. I read up to chapter 21 and now I am giving up. The writing is so messy, I can hardly keep up with all the backgroud info for each new character, sudden change of POV (without any indication) and the characters relationships with eachother. I read quite a few chinese novels. I know how it goes. All the extra drama, filler chapters, random subplots that may or may not get resolved and sometimes even character arcs. I mean, it is cliche but entertaining. What I cannot stand is the chaotic structure of how this is written. It made my head ache. Which is a shame, cause I truly thought this might be something. But I am not going to put myself through 100 more chapters... otherwise I may just have to rob a pharmacy for aspirin.

Don't know about others but this wasn't my cup of tea. The synopsis was SO interesting but the story execution wasn't. Things felt messy, descriptions were all over the place - or maybe it's just me who cannot appreciate it. The information dump after each scene ir introduction of new character. I stopped at Ch.8 so it may have gotten more interesting later on ie presumably after the foundation has been set. I am just too impatient, and my brain too slow to understand some of the intrigue and twists that are explained.
