Well I gotta say, although I won't call this book my absolute favourite and love but it's really quite interesting and kept me from putting it down. Its worth it to spend the coins on, the characters are nicely built and more realistic. The plot is thrilling too. I hope this gets picked.

so far the 40 chapters are promising! ⚠️ the only reason I came to write a review is for a trigger warning! ⚠️ I wish I remember what chapter it was, and I'll write it in the comments when I go back to check, but I wanna say in the mid 30 chapter's there is subtle, or maybe not so subtle, s*xual abuse between the xin step siblings. it's disheartening to read about and it definitely won't be brought up more than once since it, unfortunately, is used as character development for the xi family's eldest daughter. so please read with caution!

This is not just the story of one woman seeking revenge, but the story of three women learning to live the lives they want instead of following others’ expectations. The character development is very thorough, with details one doesn’t normally see in novels like this. The troubles they face are complex, and solving them leads to growth in unexpected directions. My only complaint is with the translation’s consistent inconsistent pronouns (mostly 🚺 being assigned 🚹) that can become confusing. Push through that and you’ll really enjoy the story.
