I do not see any reason at all to read merely five chapters. Bring back 60 chapter trial read. 5 Chapters is enough for the prologue and basic setting, which we already know from the synopsis. 40 Chapters is enough to rouse some interest and create maybe a small following. 60 Chapters is enough to give you a good idea of how the story will continue and how the first arc will end. TL;DR: 60 chapters or more trial read is the optimum for readers, 40 chapters is still acceptable because of the costs that unsuccessful novels bring. 5 chapters is trash

LIKEWhile I agree with you consider this. 60 chapters at 2,000 words a chapter exceeds the word count of most published books. Now considering that these aren't polished (every word tells) books but chapters that are filled with word fluff and mostly written by amateur writers at best. It might be more accurate to say that despite the word count one gets maybe a third of a book with those 60 chapters. Published books generally only give at most five free chapters to spark a readers interest with most not exceeding one to two chapters of free material...
