The Good: Writing quality is consistent as well as the updates. I admit I can't give a fair assessment with only 8 short chapters. The Bad: The plot is all over the place, but it is still early so the author can still tie it together nicely. Nothing stands out about any of the characters, giving them tropes is fine, but the author needs to add more meat to them to define who they are as a character instead of just associating them with a character trope. (Hope that makes sense) The Neutral: I'll review this one again later after more chapters are made. I do not feel it is long enough to warrant a fair review. Aside from that, keep writing! That's the best way to get better!

I appreciate the honest advice. I'll be reviewing your story soon :) Might I ask which tropes you refer to, though? I understand what you mean with the plot, and I do have a remedy / future plan in mind for that. I can't say the same for the tropes you mentioned though.

It might be I'm getting stories mixed up since I read like 6 of them back to back as of writing that review. I found the brothers to be a common trope personally, one is a hard-boiled killer, the other is more of a pacifist. Hard-boiled brother will try to convince timid brother that his new found powers can help restore their clan, princess will try to convince timid brother that he can use his powers for good. Eventually brothers will become enemies as the princess slowly turns the timid brother towards good with the princess in the middle of them. (At least this is how I see the story unfolding)

Gotcha. That is the path I intend for it to go, but with a twist. I'm hoping that future backstory will give my characters that "meat" you mentioned.
