What turns me off when reading a novel is when the lead characters fight and hurt each other because of stupid assumptions. And forget the basic concept of good communication that Is the most important thing in a good relationship.

Yes I deeply agree. It always makes us feel good when we read stories that tugs our hearts with cutie romantic scenes. Who doesn’T want to feel being loved, or doted or simply just feel like a princess. But this story? Nah you will end up angry and disappointed.

I don't care about the misunderstandings but he is treating her like a harlot. No matter whether they cleared their misunderstandings, they must not be together cause that's not love. sleeping with her and telling her to take contraceptive... Just waste my time reading this cause this is a negative creativity (the novel)

ok now that's a heads-up thanks. I really hate these domineering idiots who don't communicate properly with their partners and vice versa. I mean I get it , there should be drama and all, but this is plain stupidity, all it shows is that the person is prejudiced, narrow-minded and dumb as heck. they don't deserve a partner, it's just gonna be a toxic relationship between two f*cked up people, and honestly ya need a lot of patience ( and braincells) to read that kinda content.

Only at chapter 8 but already frustrated by the lack of communication and heavy misunderstandings. Is this going to be one of those with thousands of chapters where they make blind assumptions about each other before anything is cleared up?? 🤦‍♀️

Seriously WB? I have read about stepmother and dad being biased and shameless but this....It's been two monthes since this book has been on trial and despite poor ratings and bad reviews it hasn't been removed whereas some books that were far more interesting were removed after a week of trial only...

At first as we read we realize that there's a misunderstanding on the FL's side. The ML loves the FL deeply but chooses a roundabout way to express it. The FL slowly realizes her feelings for the ML over time and they decide to officially give their marriage a chance. Also the ML's father is a coward and how he chose to handle his marriage and relationship with the ML and his estranged wife, he dies pretty early on in the ML's life and his decisions regarding his marriage and relationship affects the way the ML views marriage and relationships which is why the ML is so bad at both. The grandfather dislikes the ML because he blames both the ML and his mother for causing the accident that killed his favourite son but that's because he doesn't know the truth about how the car accident happened. Honestly the ML's family makes me pity him because he never truly felt any familial love after his father died and his father was barely around even then, but the young ML always loved and respected his father until he saw his father's secret family. I also love that the FL despite her mother's disagreement of her being with the ML because of his scandals, she refuses to leave him once she becomes aware of her feelings for him. Also once the misunderstandings between the FL, ML and the ML's cousin who's also the FL's ex, there's no bad blood between them. overall it's a good read, so I hope it gets picked.
