So is it better than Lord of the Mysteries and World's Best Martial Artist? These two are prolly the best translated novels of 2020 from what I've seen. LoTM was my 819th novel and WBMA 871th novel. Loved the second one better than the first one. Don't give me false hopes. I am still looking for something to fill my void after qidian f$#* dropped WBMA translation. We have stuff like Earthlings are Insane or I Became a Mighty Lion but these can't really compare.

Why is harem bad? Its just a writers choice. You dont say a mistery novel is bad just because its a mistery novel. If you dont like mistery novels, just skip it. You judge a harem novel if it is BAD as a Harem novel, if the characters are poorly written or the plot is bad, you dont judge it based on it being harem or not.

Funny thing is even though this is one top 10 in China right now it not even making it into chance to be selected. Since web novel pretty much takes away all choice on what can vote on. They making only 1 novel a week that staff chooses get into voting not the novels people want.

People don't like harem because of the harem itself. The existence of multiple relationships is alright, but there is t a good way to manage multiple relationships while making it smooth, natural, and realistic.

Usually because the ‘story’ is purely focused on growing the harem. Once it is added to a story you can almost bet money that it will become very generic and boring. Some few manage it by having it as a small part of the story. But it is almost always the authors focus and the story it’s self is all but an after thought

In a word; Excellent! The story is basically a detective story set in ancient times but with Qi and supernatural powers. The normal tropes of transmigrator with good luck and using modern thinking to get ahead are there but the MC has no system and starts as a low-level martial artist with no way to easily improve. He need to use his brain, and the novel is better for it. Excellent!

got baited to read this because of all the good reviews complimenting the writing quality and mc intelligence. What i found when I read the story was an extremely perverted mc and author (like all female monsters are beauties for some reason and mc keeps making sexual comments about every female he meets even his sister).

Hey y'all. I'm back from the depths of Webnovel to sell you a deal. A very good one, might I add. As our stat reviewers have already said, this novel is trending right now in Qidian, with good reason. From reading the first 20 chapters, I'm hooked on it. The MC has no system, and within a world where it isn't strange for the death penalty to be handed out like candy, our MC can only use his cop skills to save himself. That he does brilliantly, and I love it. But what's better, is the flavor of humor and seriousness in here. The author does a sublime job of mixing the both, and introducing amusing, realistic, comedy in new formats. Anyway. I'll make this brief. Get this, and take it for a spin, I promise you won't be disappointed in the slightest. Milord out.

I though they were lying when they said it was good. I read till chapter 20 and so far, its good. The only this i dont like is him writing the Diary. He even put in the fact that he was reincarnated, just worry someone might find is diary

hope this gets picked up because the MTL is really rough lmao... stuff like "I'm Actually a Cultivation Bigshot", "I Can Track Everything", and even "I'm Really Not Targeting the Mages" from this trial read batch were all pretty readable with google translate - but this one I could only get ~25 chapters into before starting to lose track of things so I'm glad it got 40 chapters of official translation; would be really nice if it could get more
