I enjoyed the first 20 chapters immensely. And that's saying something. Webnovel outdid themselves when they chose such good novels for this round. The novel features a priest/monk (I'm not sure of which one exactly) that was raised by his master who left him just 3 days ago from chapter 1. This master taught him of their faith, martial arts, and how to live in the mountains essentially. His gold finger is basically a popularity system, and once he gains the favour of his viewers, he gains popularity points from which he can use to acquire items or skills through a gacha system that is beneficial to his lifestyle (like seeds that grow faster, better fertilizer and fishing/cutting skills). The author is educated from what I've read (if I'm wrong just ignore me). He talks about the environment in which different herbs and plants grows in and the behavioral patterns of animals living in the mountains. I don't watch animal planet so this is all new to me. so yeah, a solid read so far

You can go play dictators in your own little uyghur concentration camps but for the love of god, don't bring your shit on sites where the majority are not from your human rights less country. DON'T READ THIS NOVEL. Your feelings will change between, first hope that this urban system novel will not be nationalist and racist, then disgust that it will put subtle hints all over the place why Chinese male dcks are longer, stronger, blacker, sturdier than white, brown, black dcks. It's way better just a mindless xianxia to be selected than any urban novel because it will INEVITABLE fall into racist nationalist propaganda that even a 2 year old non brainwahsed chinese would not buy.

first 4 chapters are fine but 5th chapter has things that I am not a fan of ... like putting religious promotions in the story . I came to read a novel not a religious doctrine , don't want to sink into that swamp . will come back to read more later. maybe its not as bad as I think it is....

While this novel is quite good, it has some nationalism content. To be more specific, it's about Li ziqi's video in which she made kimchi, a Korean national dish but claimed it's from China. The relationship between China and other Asian countries has been tense recently because China claim that others culture is theirs. Anyway, the author support the notion that Kimchi is from China so for me even if the novel is entertaining, it's a nope.

This should have been a good novel if not for the bad translation quality. It is readable but the translation quality can break your inmersion which makes you want to stop reading.

Enjoyable story but if you can find it elsewhere with a different translator, do so. They were careful through the Trial Read, but REALLY went downhill from there. In addition to the common issue of using the same word for both when the character says something is "xx and yy", there are incidents of just repeating the same word 6, 7, 8+ times in a row.
