Review Detail of Antgoh1984 in Embers Ad Infinitum

A fantastic novel. World Background The author does a fantastic job of building a post apocalypse world whereby dangers galore are present. The crux of the story where the MC's team is involved in finding out what caused the end of the previous world age. This leads the MC and the team on a series of explorations through the known world. The story goes through a gradual build up, that can be off putting to certain readers. However, the buildup is for a purpose. Below are some strong points of these novels. - Gradual power buildup of the MC and his team. Every power upgrade in the team is well earned through experimentation of their power or through a hard fought battle. Personally, I am hugely annoyed by MCs who gain power without any reason. - The fighting sequences in the novel are outstanding. Very well thought. It is amazing how the author crafts a novel whereby the MC's team defeats more powerful enemy not through plot armor through the brilliance of the MC's team leader. The strategies involved in outsmarting their opponents tactically resulting in them constantly prevailing. - The power system of this novel is very well thought off. In this novel, many powerful characters termed Awakened all have a certain weakness which can be exploited. This leads to very interesting battles, where both parties utilise their strengths and attempt to exploit the weakness of the other parties. I find these battles very realistic and refreshing. - Character Development. The character development of the MC's team is simply outstanding. Every character grows in a manner. And the author does it through a "show" methodology rather than "tell", meaning that the readers see the growth of the characters rather than being told through the narration. - Every character in the MC's team play a significant role. This is not a novel where the MC reigns supreme. (At least not yet). Each character contributes significantly. Perhaps the only downside of the novel is that there tends to be a slow build up to the action parts of the novel. If you are looking for a novel that has constant action, than this novel might not be suitable for you. If you are looking for a novel with great worldbuilding, character development, great teamwork, realistic fighting scenes, than this novel will be for you.
