This is a story with ups and downs. The overall quality of the story is very high, the story development is interesting even if at times anxiety inducing (in a good way). The character design is well done with relationships being depicted realistically with a degree of depth with both sides being there own characters rather than only the main character having a personality, opinion and goal. The development of the main character as well as several other important figures is fully shown with clear changes occurring throughout the story. The world background is also kept faithful to the original with bits being occasionally added to provide more to the story. I trully enjoyed reading this work however unfortunately here comes the issues. The beginning is rushed I'm not sure if it was intentional or not but everything before the invasion of soul society feels somewhat rushed the story doesn't suffer but it certainly feels like it was skimmed through so that the author could start the main events of Canon as soon as possible. The only other problem with the story (I think it's more a merit than a demerit though) is that the main character goes through several major developments that don't always make sense the best example of this is what happened with Oetsu, a sudden shift took place and while I seriously enjoyed the villainous Ori and her schemes I still don't understand why she choose to do what she did as I said the development of her character is clear but it is also sometimes very sudden. It's certainly easier to write criticism than praise so I'm sorry if you disagree but I love this story and being so close to the end, the anticipation is killing me, even if it were to stay without an ending this story would still be a story well worth reading.

Vahn was an atypical youth. Due to a rare mutation, his blood had the potential to target and attack ailments within the human body. Touted as a universal cure, people had elevated his status above the norm and given him the classification "Panacea". In the media, he was hailed as a great hero who would usher in a new era or human wellness. However, behind the scenes things weren't so bright. Being a unique individual, Vahn spent his entire youth locked up in a lab with various scientists and research teams using his body and blood to perform endless amounts of experiments. The only solace in his suffering was the various anime and manga made available to him between experiments. He often imagined himself as the protagonist in a world of his own, finally in control of his own destiny. For years he nurtured this desire, until at the age of 14 he died when an organization had tried to kidnap him from the lab... "Finally, I don't have to suffer anymore..." This was Vahn's last thought as he faded into the endless black abyss... "You poor soul."
