I hate this website as much as the next guy but I don't think the lower quality of webnovels is entirely their fault. they've just been pumping them out every week 3-5 at a time and at this point I think they're just scraping the bottom of the barrel. Someone could prove me wrong though

there are novels that are weren't selected but can go head to head with like of reverened insanity. they should just bring them back

Personally, I think whoever is managing quality control has decided to take an extended vacation! lol Seriously though, Webnovel is translating Chinese novels. And considering what has been happening in the last few years, it is not surprising that there are more and more questionable contents coming out. As for an alternative, you should look into: "w*xiaworld.com" You know where you have to put the letter "u." These guys do much better translations of Chinese novels. And I have yet to find a novel that promulgate racism and Chinese nationalism in their novels. They even have an app! And finally, you can discover that Webnovel even stole translated ovels from WWorld, tactically endorsing those guys!

well, you are half right, but other problem is there are already decent amount of good novel that would have picked (or continue translated) but they just either not get choosed and forgotten, or just outright dropped there (although some case are due to not attract enough reader to maintain translator, but other is because of damn stupid and greedy move/policy of the one behind this website there)

The Trial System judges totally based on how many coins were used in chapter unlocking of the trial read, and by extension, how much money they can earn from it. It doesn't give us the novels with the highest literary quality, but it does do what webnovel wants, which is bring in profitable novels. Too bad for all the less shuangwen-ish novels rotting away unpicked or dropped in Qidian, but Webnovel is a business and they would rather have that profit.

There are probably more than enough web novels waiting on Qidian. They've been stocking them for like a decade and a half (Qidian's an old website). Most of the one's they're putting in trial read are newer ones (less than 2 years old) though, so maybe they're running out of those?

why is this censored?

The problem isn't entirely the websites fault as most people mindlessly vote for garbage anyway. Not to mention the fact that 90% of the chinese web novels are just trash in the first place with very few actually being that good for anything other than 'junkfood' reading
