Okay so it’s ‘the same’ story except we’ve already had the name of the setting changed (galaxy -> star ocean) and other things (Germinal Group -> Incubation Organization) have changed as well.. this isn’t giving me much hope about the quality but I’ll attempt to keep reading since I love the base story so much.

Yeah, it is confusung. I always wonder, if WN is more or less Quidian way to profit from their Chinese novels, can't they just allow translator-author communication so that these kind of things can be rectified?
Probably not because that would require time, effort, and most importantly money 😬 (Not saying that any other company would do it better though tbh)
