curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back... hate it when people shorten the adages

Oh and a little bit fun fact : "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfactory bring it back." that wasn’t the original phrase. The original phrase was just “curiosity killed the cat” — originating from a play by Ben Johnson in 1598 and a play by William Shakespeare in 1599, though the phrase itself was first used in that form by 1868 in a newspaper in Ireland. There is no reference to the words “and satisfaction brought it back” being attached to the phrase until the start of the last century. There are plenty of examples of this sort of thing, Blood is thicker than water” has been around for centuries as a saying, and it has always meant family ties are stronger than anything else. However in recent times some people have decided it means “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb” — suggesting that the ties of those you serve with (in the military) are stronger than any other ties. People claim this is the original meaning — one that dates back centuries — and yet there is no proof to support this at all, and the proof to support “blood is thicker than water” is legion. Jack of all trades” has been around since the 1600s, and yet the phrase “master of none” wasn’t added for over a century afterwards. And the claim that the full phrase is “Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one” is just complete nonsense since there is no proof of the last part of the phrase existing before this century. It is amazing how many people take “folk wisdom” in the form of proverbs, aphorisms and the like and bend them to their own needs and support their own agenda. And here I am, writing this to correct the fallacy ^^

Any plans to go premium? Only asking as I'm already reading 2 novels that are such but also need more to read as I normally read half a dozen books at a time and all I have at the moment is three...

Hello there, First of all, thank you for spending your time to read my simple story. I really appreciate it. Then, regarding premium... Yes sure, I would definitely go premium since I also want to earn by writing, just like any others. But the exact "when", I still haven't decide yet, since my upload rate can be considered low compare to the others authors. After all, earning money isn't really my first priority, though I do need money to fill my table with food. But for now, my only concern is to deliver a story that at least can be... relished by anyone who reads it. That is to say, if someday my story goes premium, and you find it interesting and... like... worth your time and coin... you may buy it if you wish, but don’t feel obliged to do it 😅 I think that's it for now. Thank you for your question, and thank you for stopping by ^^

Unfortunately I will have to waite before starting your novel as the free fast passes can't even keep up with the books I'm reading (an estimate of a full year just to reach where one of them is currently at) In the meantime however, I wish you the best of luck on your novel!
