This book is about a guy in a mages' academy who is much weaker than everyone else, with the exception of having a high talent that doubles exp. Exp only comes into play with skills, there are no levels, but there are stats, which can be improved, but our protagonist has such a low starting point.

LIKEThat's why I said he is lucky. well I left my previous comment surely a long time ago so I have to give you a hats off for atleast noticing. if you want to read a novel where the MC is atleast cleaver of atleast capable of normal thought processing then read 'the authors pov'. currently I am reading that and the MC there is atleast not foolish(may be a bit petty sometimes cuz he is 16 and all but other than that he is 😎) .
JcnPeng:Now this is a review. I was going to read it but thanks for the assist bro. I just dropped like 5-8 novels in a row because of brainless MC's, if I had to drop another then I would be too disappointed to continue... Sigh... good novels seems to be noore... All the good novels have brainless MC nowadays. If these authors stop trying to add so much failed "comedy" then the MC's really wouldn't look so brainless, because what they don't understand is that these failed comedies are at the expense of the MCs' critical thinking.... also, how can an idiot be a mage in the first place???
Xoul:So, despite his starting point he will grind on skills and overwhelm the others ...
