The story is well written and has a nice start and concept but throws the concept away really fast. Spelling and grammar is not bad. There is a trigger moment in the story that could sirously turn people away, chapter 10 or 11. (Rape then death of an Ally, the first and only true Ally). At first the cruelty and focused mentality nicely depicted the animalistic side of the animal/MC. Kindness where kindness is due, but survival above all else. I wouldn't have minded continueing the story if the MC's moral and ethics stayed in this animalistic spectrum. (He asked AND answered himself that he WOULD abandoned his Ally again if he was at that moment in time again). The whole redemption after like 4~6 chapters later feels like a cop out after the author getting alot of hate I guess. The hate and anguish of the family member to the MC, after hearing about the Ally's death but not the rape, made sense. (I don't care how many sleeping visions you get, I'm not gonna forgive you ever. Fuck some shitty quote or items and shit.) Oh and the whole thing about having 9 lives doesn't matter anymore after like 15 chapters. Our MC is back to a normal webnovel Protagonist with 1 live. He starts acting like a normal person with only 1 life. Maybe later he'll get them back... somehow. But not having it already build in at the beginning, how he can get 'Cat lives' back, would feel too ham fisted to me. The world is ok, animals with wuxia skills and powers. Now the Young arrogant Nobel has an even clearer species advantage TO be arrogant. I had to drop it cause the story was getting a little wack for me. Both wanting to be an Animal Emo Edge Lord and sympathetic hero.

I can live with an ally dying for development. But the way this happened was just not okay. It kinda made me feel like it was unsure if she would return or not (maby as an antagonist). But after a few comments/reviews/chapter names it doesn't feel like that. But the thing that was totally offputting was how Felix dealt with his regret like it is a pure sum of reasons/emotions. This isn't the case in real life so I had expected more to get past his regret. This story feels like an evolved animal into human society with only the worst human traits. This is probably not the case but I regret ever finding this novel. The normal animal kingdom isn't this cruel.
