IMMEEE:I love how people don't actually bother to read a novel when they complain about it. The MC LITERALLY had his hands crippled by some bad people before the match and that's why he wound up living in the slums and not just because he lost the bet and was too old to remain competitive.
He was barely in his 20's and poorly educated it'd be more surprising if he had. I mean there is a long list of pro athletes and celebrities in the real world who have ended up the same way as him.

haven't read the story but esports is a career that you retire very very early from it is now way a lifelong career. If you retire by 28 its considered the upper limits. And how many people can say they have their priorities straight at 35 let alone their 20s? Wouldn't have so many broke celebrities if that were the case

You don't invest in fees, you just pay the fees. investment is said to be done when it has the chance of giving something in return, but paying fee for clg is not an investment it is a liability .
