the male lead - kisses her without consent (I will admit that this is standard for the romance genre) - kisses her while she is unconscious (I don't remember if she was alseep or passed out but he explicitly mentioned that she wasn't aware it happened 😬) - tricks her into a contract with heavy penalties so she will be in a romantic relationship with him even if she wants to withdraw consent consent must be active and enthusiastic if someone cannot withdraw consent they cannot consent if someone is made to feel that they cannot withdraw consent it is coercion this is a story with an abusive relationship it is a real problem in the romance genre where abusive relationships are romanticized and it leands people to not realised when they are in a toxic relationship irl. I think this story has some good points but that people need to be aware that there are consent issues in this book. For some people it might be triggering to see consent issues in a story. Though I imagine most people who would be triggered by that would realised what a minefield the romance genre is.

where I am up to in this story the ml is deliberately isolating the fl while attempting to "domesticate" her he is being very controlling and trying to get her to be dependent on him that was what caused my review (tho I was too tired when I was writing it so didn't elaborate what the issue was, and that wasn't really fair. sorry)

that the male lead thinks "Even though I was the one who forcefully kiss[ed] her, not only did she not get angry, she apologis[ed] to me?!" shows how messed up the situation is. He knows he did something wrong and yet she was made to feel like she was the one who needed to apologise. and that is kind of horrifying

Ah i see... Considering the worLd they live in where maLe dominates and he is still maturing, i think thats why it resulted to such a character. In real life, probably most modern ladiEs like us wont approve of this behaviour. He do regrets his actions though (spoiler in the later ePisodes), its just sometimes his emotions overpowers hiS rationality which is the complete opposite of female lead. But because female lead Is always dense, it maY also because of her that resulted to his actions too. But its an interesting poinT and a good feedback. Perhaps i will use this For his growth.
