MC is getting more arrogant as the chapters go. MC’s goal is world peace btw which is hypocritical judging by the way he treats other people. Background story is not well defined and so is the fight scenes. Overall, pretty average.

It's for character building. since no matter how noble a goal is a genius is a genius and they have their arrogance. You can look at the character of kakashi at the early stage of how arrogant he was and later became humble.
