You wasted my valuable time by not giving a synopsis for the story. I did not like the premise, so I would not have read it. Instead, a bad review.

LIKEPathetic_Uchiha:There is a synopsis tho and it says read the first chapter so technically it is a synopsis so you HAVE to read it
I agree with this review, it makes sense to add a synopsis because that is usually how people can tell what the story is all about and if it would be interesting to them or not, this way the author is essentially baiting people to click on the first chapter out of curiosity and not real interest in the concept and plot. I won't give it a bad review but i'm less inclined to try reading it because of the lack of a synopsis, as an experienced novel reader i know what kind of novel i like and the first thing i do when looking for a new one to read is read the synopsis then read the reviews, specially the low star ones which usually have criticism and not just praises as if it was a perfect novel, with all that said i'll pass on this one for now but will leave it in my library in case the author decides to add a real synopsis in the future.
My interpretation is this. If they won't spend the time to tell me what they're selling, why would I spend the time to look myself? It's lazy and disgustingly arrogant. If something evokes literal anger in such a manner that isn't a literary tool, then that's deserving of a negative review.

I hate the overly defensive culture of this app. Literally nothing you said is accurate or constructive.

Yeah but just about all the reviews are saying "I like this" without elaborating. It's making me pensive about reading it.
Starvation:It's not like you decide whether you read it or not based off the synopsis. You always read the user's reviews, so it's baseless. And 2 chapters is like 5 minutes ?
So you mean to say the same, but put 5 stars and then leave? Valla, I see no flaw in your logic. If a novel has no review, you don't have to read it. I mean, it could very well be bad. There are so many people who just say that something is good or the best they have seen, but it turns out that they are only newbies who do not know how to give one or have good taste. I hate people who only give 5 stars without explaining why, and Hypocrites who complain about a bad 'review', and mostly if an explanation, than one with 5 stars and without explanation. (It's my honest opinion, and the real problem isn't him, because if it wasn't him, it was me. The real problem is the author. No one is going to read novels if they can't see what it's about. We're not fortune-tellers).
PublishedLeaf:I hate idiots like you that wont right an actual review of the dam book. Good or bad "review" at least make it a review idiot smh
It sure is some kind of plot to gain more readers even if they don't like the story ... get more view.
Vada_Jude:Well....not having a synopsis doesn't warrant a bad review but it definitely attracts less readers. For example, if I had two books to read here, I'd rather read the one with the synopsis.
That why other site like Royalroad at least more decent there compare to this site when it come to review, of course it not perfect but also didn't have as many of those 5 stars review with no reason at all (and importantly that site even include what chapter you readed before write a review, unlike this site which remove that function out for no reason)

I don't remember going to that site. If I did, then I don't remember. In all ways ... yes. But I think that the reviews have been lowered so much because in part they give you experience, which makes users who want experience end up making a semi-forced comment. That boils down to making reviews of something they didn't want to do by summarizing them and giving it around 5 stars so they don't erase it.
