The author tried to make the mc powerful and ended up making him a hack instead, there's quite a lot of chunni in it and a huge focus on the other worlds compared to the main dxd world. Akane ga Kill Fate (Type Moon) - Konosuba (Everyone except MC) It has good comedy and character interaction, but tends to be quite random with no definitive storyline, going as the author pleases making it a good read if you want to pass the time but not really worth investing much into it. Background characters aren't defined properly and the author expects you to know the different novels/worlds to a certain depth to fully understand this novel. The Type Moon Arc has more chapters compared to the DxD Arc, same for the Akame Arc making it a multiverse fanfic rather than a DxD fanfic. The author also dislikes Issei and has 'removed' him from the novel while the MC also having a few screws loose and adding in a dark undertone to the novel and characters. In the end, the story is unique on its own with the annihilation maker element but has skewed too far from the existing power balance from the DxD world making this novels future looking quite bleak. This is my honest criticism of the novel and I don't intend to devalue the novel itself.

Yeah the overarching story seems to lack a lot of structure and character planning. It started with an interesting concept and then the author decided to add every new idea on top of that while including way more cultural references than needed. The story has become bloated with many unfinished plotlines while introducing many more. The growth of scale here is even worse than a xianxia novel. This novel is like making a campfire with only gasoline, burning hot and quickly. But it will not last and the author keeps choosing to add more gas instead of some wood.
