This was hard to read at first because of the abuse that goes on. It's really not glamorizing abuse at all but showing what it does to people. It is pretty dark but it really sucked me in. It's not a love story. It’s like, you hate the ML but then start to kind of be ok with him only to hate him again. The author keeps you on your toes. The book is updated regularly too. This is the first one in my library I read when I see that update. This is a really good read. I look forward to the second book. Keep up the good work author 👏 👏

The best DARK ROMANCE book I read so far! The story is fast-paced .you will know within the first chapter. It feels cliche but it defo isn't. The Authors note is EVERYTHING I started to read because of it more than the synopsis, .As she doesn't promise a cliche story and putting up with abuse.. especially FL reflects the promise of the note(don't want to spoil much). Characters Alexis- She is intelligent and accepts the circumstances she is in and once recognizes the power she eventually learns to use it to her advantage some cool 'power plays' . Don't expect FL to forgive everything in a heartbeat and gives excuses for abuse and put up with it. Yes, there is attraction and she accepts and enjoys it as is pinned down with no way out anyways. You can see her thoughts are never of love and she isn't ok with his behaviour and bad blood between them. Our girl considers big bad mafioso as her 'plaything'!😏 Angelo- First 3 chapters his intention is clear. He is a mafia head he is not one who changes overnight and is all soft with FL nor are his methods to win her. There is more realistic character development with both characters. The story is focused more on the main leads and their journey in a relationship and how they are adapting. There are other characters, not much is shared about them apart from necessary info for building on main characters. Maybe because this is a short novel but the main characters make up for it but hopefully the sequel will cover it! Writing style -It's very engaging and dynamic also the story isn't stretched. As promised it has surprising elements from both characters and their past. Keeps you intrigued by a secret only some characters know. Some dark tactics you totally don't expect from both leads..you won't know what hit you like yellow fellow 👇 Author Inara - I appreciate that she can be sporty and take critical feedback and she addresses the reader's comments and complaints. Also open to readers' opinions and suggestions isn't as pushy with rank/votes but it should totally have a much higher rank! ♥️ I completely enjoyed it, definitely recommend it! Totally worth every coin spent

Compelling, and interesting! Realistic development both internal and external. Finally a Dark Romance that’s actually Dark. If your definition of Dark Romance is falling for a mysterious guy who’s strangly kind to the FL then I’m sorry but thats not dark. That’s 75% of all romance stories. This is not a bad boy/good girl story. This has complex people, in a complex world, its realistic, and believable. Not for the faint of heart. There’s abuse and violence. If its not your cup of tea, dont drink, and find a different story. Please dont bash the author just bc you cant handle what they write. There are many stories on this app that can fit your specific needs as a reader. Go find them. Its difficult enough for the writers to come up with content. Everyone is allowed to express their creativity in their own way. No need to break others down. If you want a certain type of story but cant find it, there’s an option to write your own books.

I just finished this novel and thought of leaving a review. honestly i dont know ehat to feel about the ending but the story is like really dark so if you are reading you need to have patience every human being has faults but it our responsibility to correct then there is character development so you need to have patience the story is not stretched. the female lead is a strong one but reading about her past makes me utterly sad and just think of how strong she is to go on and not give up you will have inspiration from her but time again she gets tormented and she overcomes it. how? read the novel to find out. thanks for reading my review.
