The romance here is just a sub-genre. Up until the latest chapter, the story still revolves around Neoma and her family *drama* since she's still physically a child. And I can tell romance isn't your cup of tea. But romance as a genre, especially among stories with female leads, is popular because a lot of people/readers enjoy it. It's not that different from dungeons/system trope being popular among stories with male leads. It all boils down to preference, I guess. :) Thank you for checking out this story.
