You are projecting humans or more specifically human nature in bright side like they are all good and hiding their dark side i.e human nature. Humans are anything but good especially in medieval times or in Shinobi life. Be it Ninja or Samurai, they are cold, ruthless, trained military people who move only for their own benefits. You are projecting them on too much of bright side like they are upholding justice.
