I agree with the reviewers’ comment about this being clichΓ©. But such as being the case, I expected a bit more. Su Ruixi is not a likeable character as the female lead if you compared her to the modern assassins who transmigrated to ancient past. She claims that her medical prowess is the best and yet she can’t do surgery? She claims she’s studied, learned and mastered several knowledges and skills as a modern assassin and yet somehow she still lacks. Her planning, scheming and strategizing leaves one with a bland taste with bitter aftertaste. One commenter posted that she’s not satisfied with how she dealt with her cousins, Rouqi and Roulin. Let me add to this, I’m not satisfied with her plan to use a scapegoat to take her place in the execution. The scapegoat ended up being rescued by a man in black after dropping a black smoke bomb. Who was this man? Her dad perhaps? This leads her to having a potential problem since this scapegoat was fed by her with a pill to permanently change her appearance to that of hers, Rouxi. What’s more, she imprinted onto that maid her body’s original memories, regardless if she took away the maid’s dantian and cultivation. If you read this, you might compare her with Sima YouYue. Both assassins and yet dealt with their problems differently. Both lazy, has a space that can grow and store living things, has rings that contain this magical space, has contracted beings from Their ancient past, their completed souls once their modern soul went back to their current ancient self etc. Details were well-written but this made me skip them but that’s my thing. Got bored reading it. Also, Chapter 59 & 60 are the same, both have the same content. Just overall, this story is nothing to sink your teeth in and relish it. But if you’re bored and has nothing to do and wants to kill time, you can give this one a go.

Defy The Alpha(s)

Two centuries after the Great War, peace between humans and werewolves was finally achieved, or so everyone believes. Werewolves reign like gods, and humans remain blissfully unaware of their true place in the new world order. To maintain this fragile balance, each year, a handful of "lucky" humans are selected from various districts to attend Lunaris Academy, a prestigious institution that promises glory, status, and a chance to mingle with the elite. Those chosen are hailed as the lucky few, destined to marry powerful alphas and rise as luna. This year, Violet Purple is among the chosen, much to everyone's surprise. For an orphaned girl adopted by a disgraced prostitute, this is a golden ticket to a better life or so she's told. But Lunaris Academy isn’t the paradise it’s painted to be. Everything Violet and her fellow humans have been taught is a lie. Humans are far from equal; they're pawns in a much larger game. The academy is nothing but a gilded cage, and the students are lambs led to slaughter, playthings for the alphas to toy with in their ruthless games. To make matters worse, Violet catches the attention of the most dangerous players in this game, the Terror Four: the Alpha of the North, Alpha of the South, Alpha of the East, and Alpha of the West. Each one is more dangerous, more twisted, and more powerful than the last. But even among themselves, the alphas are divided, each with their own deadly ambitions. Yet, they all have their eyes on her. They expect Violet to play along, to fall in line like the others who worship at their feet, to break under their games. But Violet isn’t like the others. She refuses to bow. She’ll defy them all. *********** With a grin that made her uneasy, he handed the application to her. β€œApprove this one.” Principal Jameson’s curiosity got the better of her as she took the paper from him, her eyes scanning the text. Almost immediately, her breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening in disbelief. β€œWhat the...?” β€œIt’s perfect, isn’t it?” Asher’s voice was almost gleeful. Fucking psychopath! Jameson could hardly believe what she was reading. β€œMr. Nightshade, with all due respect, this applicant….this girl just admitted to—” She couldn’t even finish the sentence, still horrified at the explicit nature of the application. Taking a deep breath, she continued, β€œI’m sorry, but I cannot approve this.” β€œShe’s issued me a challenge,” Archer said, a dark gleam in his eyes. β€œWhat?” β€œβ€˜Wait till you see me in bed,’” he repeated the bold line from the application, his grin widening. β€œAnd I can’t wait to find out.” β€œMr. Nightshade—” He stood up, cutting off her protest as he fixed her with an intense stare. β€œApprove the application. I won’t ask again.” Without waiting for her response, Asher strode out of the office, confident she would follow his orders. He always got what he wanted. Archer Nightshade walked down the hall, a spring in his step. For the first time in a long while, he felt alive, his blood pulsing with excitement. The other Cardinal Alphas had no idea what he was up to, but it would soon hit them. He’d just set the game in motion. And the target was Violet Purple. It was game on. Note : This is not your average werewolf story. Eveything you think you know about werewolves would be challenged in this book. And yes, it is reverse harem. Do give the book a try.

He simply smirked and brushed his finger along the deep wound on his neck. β€œSeems like you failed.” She watched the wound on his neck heal on its own and felt shocked to her bones. β€œYou.. what are you?” β€œGuess?” ----- Instagram- mynovel.20 Facebook- Author mynoveltwenty

Hellbound Heart

[WARNING: MATURE CONTENT] - Izabelle had underestimated the fire she thought she was going to play with tonight. But how could she ever have foreseen that the man she had happened to come across with does not play with just a small fire, but a whole inferno? ___ Excerpt: "You going through this marriage with me might as well be like you digging your own grave. Because the moment you start to want more from me, I will divorce you. And the moment you break your promise and try to fight me… I will ruin you and break you apart completely. Mercilessly. You will regret ever meeting this devil tonight." His threat was given in the same soft but cold voice. But Elle did not even flinch. Her gaze never faltered either. This man was ruthless, and she knew that clearly. His eyes that moment promised nightmares and darkness without any promise of respite. But no matter what he says now, it would still not change her decision. She truly had no other choice. "I understand now…" she said quietly, steeling herself. "Since you don't trust that I will keep my word, how about we do this? You prepare the divorce documents beforehand now and I'll sign it. That way, once you decide to divorce me in the future, the papers would already have been signed and there would be no way I can trouble you about it. You would just need to send it to the lawyers and have it notarized." A heavy silence reigned before his quiet disbelieving laugh broke the silence. "I'm at a loss for words, Princess Izabelle." He looked wickedly amused. But then he started nodding in approval. "Fine, princess. I will marry you." ___ Instagram account: kazzenlx.x facebook page: author_kazzenlx Discord server: https://discord.gg/UGTA3A4 Cover is mine so don't use it.
