All i can say is this : almost trash The characters are not well introduced. The world is not well developed we basically know nothing about it and i dropped the book at chapter 173. The MC is walking talking idiot. The other characters are the one more idiotic than the other. MC is way too trusting of everyone without any reason and he goes as far as to reveal his "secret" left and right. He even turned someone who betrayed him when even he himself know almost nothing about the powers he has and how to control them let alone guide someone else with weaker will as he is portrayed to be. It is more of a high school drama than a novel set in another time with super powers all around. I would not recommend it

Look at this review we have the same in common. I also stop at chapter 173 were the puppet thingy. I've been hoping the MC will developed as soon as possible which I tolerate 173 chapters but when he just let his girl "friend" taken controlled by that other overconfident vampire, I'VE LOOOOOST IT! Purely pathetic!

No monarch of evernight has very intricate writing. This novel pales in comparision to misty rain of jiangnan's writing .city of sin is even better.

it gets better and better in the second ark you probably only read like 100 chapters. the first time i started reading i also stopped because it sucked a lot but after a month i started reading again and it gets lots better

mate i have been reading webnobels for 8 years i know trash when i see one. This site is skewed as bots are encouraged rather then being banned. Now you are telling me lord of mysteries is trash and this is good what a joke.
