First, I have to say that I am very regretful that I used a lot of effort and time searching for this novel's raws. I was too impatient to wait for the translation and ended up throwing myself into a fire pit. Second, I will start my review with a bit of good news. I like the world background of the novel. I honestly feel that it is wasted on this particular novel. Third, the ML and some other male characters are serial rapists. They frequently rape their female counterparts even when said females expressly shout that they don't want to have sex with them. It doesn't matter that the females like said males and enjoy the sex, it is a given that the sex is mostly not consensual. The ML is especially terrible and he tends to blame the FL whenever they have sex. He says that she seduces him or provokes him in one way or another although it's not true from the reader's point of view. He is also very callous and often causes emotional distress to the FL. Overall, he is an abusive scumbag despite his occasional display of acceptable human behavior. Fourth, it is quite frustrating that the ML and FL don't ever talk. The ML suppresses the FL and in the end, she gives up on finding answers. An honest conversation would clear up a lot of things that would allow their relationship to progress. However, she dares not speak up because the ML would somehow turn things around and end up abusing her whether emotionally or sexually. As such, neither is secure about the relationship and the FL is especially distraught since she holds a very ambiguous position in the ML's life. Fifth, the children especially Shanshan are too mature. The kids are cute but some of the things they say or do make you feel disbelief and even sad because children shouldn't be that mature. Long story short, I hope that webnovel doesn't pick this book up. I initially thought that they wouldn't pick it up because it is 'good' but now I am worried that they will pick it up because it has all the usual bad things- a scum ML who rapes the FL, an FL who is a doormat, etc.
