Does the MC stop being an idiot further into the novel? I’m just wondering because if his dream is to be a Pokémon master you think he would have done some research about his Riolu’s move set that he could possibly learn. Sorry. I’m just kinda hitting a wall with how he is acting. I understand he is 10 but his dream is to become a Pokémon master...

LIKEHi there SolaceHunter, thank you for your review, as Kalem travels with his friends to 1. Achieve their dream and 2. Find Kalem and Glade's parents, he'll be faced with a lot of problems and obstacles(Rivals, evil organizations, Pokemon challenges and etc.) these obstacles is what trains Kalem and Riolu to grow stronger and closer together. As Kalem travels through the region, he learns new things through the obstacles he faced, and will soon have a deeper connection with Riolu which will cause Riolu to evolve soon. The tougher the challenges, the stronger Kalem becomes, he may not seem strong right now, but he will someday. If there are any confusions about why Kalem doesn't know much about Pokemon, or Riolu only learned one move in two years, the reason was revealed in chapter.91, I made the Mc struggle at first, because no one starts great or powerful right away, there is no success without struggles. If Kalem loses matches or battles, he learns from it because he believes that there is always a room for improvement. This is what will soon lead him to becoming a Pokemon Master. I hope this answers your confusion, thanks for the review🙂
