I have read many stories where this is the case and I always felt there were a lot of missed opportunities when going this path. Lot's of character development and funny situations can be explored when remaining as a magical beast. Awh that's to bad. Then get him an elf companion or some random princes knight who want's to slay the evil dragon. Make it that everything get's exremely awkward with elf really clumsy. Or use hero summoning to do idk. It would really interresting if add hero summoning.

Also if you won't give him a human form how about a humanoid form(like a lizard-man look but dragon-like(meaning a form where he shrinks to the size or around the size of a human but can stand on two legs(even if said legs don't look human-like) and his front legs turn into arms and hands with a humanoid torso, dragon head, wing, tail, etc)

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm afraid not. He will grow, but he will never have a human or even humanoid form. Actually, if you want to read a great story where this does happen, read "Reborn: Evolving From Nothing." Great story by a great writer. Love both of his works. As of now, I have a general idea of how this story ends far in the future, filled with little arcs I want to explore. Hopefully I get there someday. Baby steps after all.

Someone else has said this previously but forgoing a humanoid for entirely would probably be best. We come here to see an MC's interactions with other non-humans though the human interaction in this story works quite well, I think I personally have a slight preference to the interactions with other magical beasts, both in and out of combat. I do hope that there's more arcs in the future that focus on just his interactions with other magical beasts because the lack of actual "words" feels natural.

Yup, he will not be gaining a human or humanoid form, ever, period. Read too many stories where that happens and all the interesting aspects of being a beast are lost.

Absolutely hate that type of gender bender nonsense, but to each their own. I actually know of a manga that turns out that way that I would like to recommend called “Mookhyang - Dark Lady”. While I was pretty upset about it the story was still interesting

I just find it funny to see prots life fall apart and seeing them feeling insecure and those stupid awkward conversations. But i don't like when they don't get over it quick. It takes the fun out it. Thanks though

I am so glad, I feel that a lot is missed when they are able to transform too. I can just imagine all the funny awkward moments that will happen.

I read a staory where the MC is a monster and can only be a human for a small amount of time (Eight or so hours max at later in the story) and it portrays his beast part okay i guess, But it also focused too much on the human aspect of being a beast which kinda ruined it for me so i can see very well where your coming from.

The gender bend thing made sense though, and it gets REALLY good later

I love this book. Despite being left on a cliffhanger, I love it a lot. I dream of new chapters and come back to check every month or so just to see sir Author enjoy a different book (shadow slave). I am to the point that I almost wish that it would go on hiatus indefinitely so Author may understand my unbearable longing for the continuation of my favorite story ( old man dragon), but I realize that I wouldn’t want the Author of the novel I hold so dear to be as sad as I am because of my own selfishness. Thus I am at an impass. The thing I enjoy has been (to an extent) abandoned, and the one who left has done so in order do the thing they enjoy (hopefully). In conclusion I pray find joy in continuing this wonderful book that got me into reading. my best wishes to redwinter and I hope you find immorality from one mortal to another. Peace.
