I didn't expect much from this book at first. I assumed it was just one of those reincarnation stories again. But surprisingly, am hooked. The way the main characters' stories are unfolding chapter by chapter is satisfying and yet gives just enough space for me to be eager for the next chapter to find out what's happening next

This is a review of the first forty chapters. The female lead (Li Beinian) is a typical good girl who was wronged and then reborn with a thirst for revenge and the dream of becoming an A-List actress. Unlike some lead characters, she doesn’t know all of the people who hurt her or at least the extent of their actions that culminated with her and her children’s death. She begins by cooperating with the male lead (Mu Xichen) to thwart her evil stepsister’s plan to humiliate her. Along with the evil stepsister are the usual suspects: self centered capitalist father, evil stepmother, and childhood fiancé who is in love with an evil woman. The face slapping begins a few minutes after her rebirth with Niannian verbally attacked her newly found birth family. The final boss villains ( Mu Donglin and Kerou) have barely been mentioned by this point in the story. Overall, the story is predictable and is starting to get slow paced. In general, there are no glaring grammar errors and transitions between scenes are well done. While the story is smooth to read, filler chapters have already started to pop-up. I expect even more filler chapters to appear as this is a 1,000+ chapter story. The only other complaint I have with this novel is that the characters are one dimensional or schizophrenic. The stepsister/stepmother pair are 1 dimensional. The female lead’s character is inconsistent. From how she describes herself in her first life she went from a tough high EQ tomboy martial arts wiz to a quiet naive push over after being reunited with her birth family at 19 years of age. After her rebirth, Niannian becomes a sarcastic loner she-devil. The characters change would make more sense if the female lead had transmigrated instead. If you are willing to invest a lot of time into a face slapping rebirth story.....this story will satisfy your cravings.

It' good.. like other "repeat to the past" story, the FL become strong character and cunning fox.. the different is the ML.. really I can't decribe more, but there's something interesting with his development character.. and I can't wait for that, so.. go to the mtl, thank you~ hahaha ♡♡♡♡

Love this book because it has a balance of mystery and ML doting romance. The author did not reveal the plot directly from the beginning and kept the suspense. There is no misunderstanding between the ML and FL, and the story describes well on how the ML treats the FL well. The negative sides about this novel comes from the side characters. They are not critical, just me being curious: (-) unfortunately the author did not talk about the ending of Gu Mingye and Mo Shengyun romance. (-) the misunderstanding between Jiang Yeqing and Bo Chengcheng is extensive and lasted for a long time, while it could be solved with a proper conversation (-) the author did not mention if Mo Shengxin is able to avoid his former fate.
