No, I don't know that a lot of people hate it when mc tells he comes from another world. It's stupid, there's no reason to lie about it in normal circumstances, it's not like they can invade your world or something. Telling people you come from another world ONLY works in worlds where dimension/world travel is plausible. So if it's a DC story? Sure. DBZ story? Sure. Fate stay? Sure. One Piece?!?!? Hell no. There's no way a native from One Piece would believe something like that. So when someone drops a bomb like that and they roll with it, it just seems like the author is forcing things that are illogical
Maybe this is stupid, but I will not read fan fiction precisely because of such frankness. Maybe I will return to him when there will be significantly more chapters. But I really don't like it when the characters talk too much about themselves. The story that he is from another world is a taboo. The biggest taboo is only to talk about the fact that he received power through desires or what. The latter makes the hero look pathetic, because power is not what he got himself. But I say this figuratively, and not about your hero, since I did not read anything. Please do not be offended by my comment. No. The thing that started characters not telling anyone they're from another world is that character not wanting their parents to find out because their parents might disown them or think the mc stole the body of their child. Do you honestly think the world government will take your word for it that you're from another world? Even if you tell your best friend they're more likely to believe you're joking. Do you honestly think the world government will use a ton of money researching someone because they heard rumors that one of the strawhats heard that he's from another world?

bro if ur looking for a power booster mc then the Chinese novels are for u, this type of Japanese fanfic are not all OP. True that he was reckless giving out information but that stuff just got thrown to the back of the head like nothing spilled, so the story is still pretty good. The mc is definitely above average using his memory and unique ability, he dominates most of the battles and situations.
