I love this book, the 3rd from the same author. I just don’t get it why WN did such a botched up translation and editing after having this book in hiatus for so long. It was machine translated for the chapters released after its hiatus. You would notice it from the chapter’s title. Capitalization and Chapter Title was not even edited. From this you can see that the quality is bad. I read this raw while the author was still writing this. I stopped reading it when it came to the part of the FL dark side appearing in one of her labs and saying that she was successful. And also at the part where she appeared and kidnapped FL BFF WJ. I was waiting for more chapters to be released. Then the translated to English version appeared here at WN. So I started reading the translated and even paid for the locked chapters. So this month, when this was placed on the discounted books I bought it. But seriosuly, discounted? When the chapters were soooo overpriced. Let’s just say a chapter could have an average cost of 8[img=coins] and probably go up as high as 15[img=coins]. Less the discount probably it would cost around 3-5[img=coins] which was the usual cost of each chapter in the translated book. For this author, it is rare to have long chapters. So I don’t know what kind of game WN is playing with us readers aka as payers. We pay good money $100 and up for such a bad translation and editing. For this book, Jiu Feng will also be called as 9 Phoenix as an example. This confusing names will occur on the chapters released after hiatus. Doudou will be Toto (lazy typing?), Qing Long for Green Dragon, Bai He, Si Bai, White Crane… the names go on and on. For the last name Pei to be in all CAPS like PEI Yucheng. Improper capitalization or rather not using capitalization whenever it’s called for. The usage of he/she pronouns and mixing the gender of Lin Yan’s twin sons, sometimes referred to as her making them her daughters instead. With the latest releases of WN, it is so discouraging to be a member. Better read Babel books at least I know it’s MTL so I’m not expecting much. Other fans translation is better than this so-called official translation. WN has editors, so why are they not editing and getting these things corrected?! The story is good if you can just ignore these humongous errors. It has a good start in translation but ending it with horrifying reading experience. Not worth the price but what can I do?! I like the story and the author.😤 The low rating was because of the translation and updating. The plot and characters were good. Just a little more is needed on the plot especially for Yeva. The ending is a bit lacking and needs more. The author released a new novel FYI.

LIKEEven Lu Jingli was named here when it was PEI YUTANG who was speaking. It’s great to have Ning Xi’s Spirit mentioned as the brand the ML Pei Yucheng favors but using Lu Jingli as an error to name Pei Yutang is really bad! This is the reason for the monthly discounts on books. Majority of the books on discounts are books with MTL, horrible editing and incomplete translation but marks them as completed. Might as well buy the raws ok. Or go to any MTL app or website to read such translations😤
Forgot to add: since it’s MTL, there a lot of repeated paragraphs in the recently released chapters (From May 2022). I wish for WN to refund us. Even if it was discounted, that was not worth the price. 1[img=coins] is sufficient to price such chapters.😤🤬
Did you ever get a refund? They did the same for another novel I supported from the beginning. I noticed and tried to hold on for a couple of chapters to see if anything would change but nothing. I just dropped the novel.
