I'm guessing they are more promoted or Chinese are mostly patriotic themselves. Qidian is a very large reading platform in China and I assume it's very well 'look after' by ccp, so authors kissing @ss is nothing new. And with censorships and cleansing that happened in earlier 2019, authors are being extra careful on what they write. Well what I wrote above is mostly what I read on other threads so not entirely accurate

Disapointig translated novel.
