First time reading one of Yueyi’s stories, and I’m impressed! The beginning chapters were just about being caught eating peaches and being punished for it, but it was still very engaging. I’m also a fan of little foxes, so I can just imagine how adorable she must look (to her dismay)! Her inner monologue is also funny with the ‘lowly human.’ I look forward to seeing how he wins her over with food. If there’s anything I wish to see more of, it would be a little more action, but even the mundane actions are still engaging because of the humor. Overall, good writing and great start!

thank you for the review!! :D action definitely picks up eventually but in the beginning, it's mostly just exploration since that's the writing prompt. my stuff is usually slice of life in the beginning & then becomes more serious as the story progresses. :)

Author review to provide some information! The score is not a perfect five stars because I give myself 3 stars for stability of updates. I'm always terrible at that, so bear with me please. This is a side-work of mine, so in comparison to my main work, Power Up, Artist Yang, Xue Yao: The Fox Immortal will probably not have as many frequent updates after the Writing Prompt Contest that I'm entering this in is over. Nevertheless, I'm pretty happy with this story idea. It's just like what the synopsis says: a six-thousand year old fox immortal gets sent down to the mortal realm, and romance may or may not blossom between someone she meets there ;) Other things about this story... 1) Well fleshed-out characters. This is always something I'm proud of-- the MC of our story, Xue Yao, is a very flawed character who has her strengths and weaknesses. You won't be finding an OP MC here. 2) Slow Romance. Romance might be a little bit slower (won't appear instantly), but the chemistry between the FL & ML will be slowly built up and developed through the chapters. 3) A little bit of action? FL will have to fight some people in some chapters, but action isn't a main element of this story. 4) Love ********. It might not seem like one because the second ML is not appearing until a while into the story, but the FL will have two love interests. 5) Cooking. Eating good food. Food descriptions. That's about all I can think of for now! Each chapter should be around 800-1.5k in word length, and I'm estimating 150-ish chapters, but this is not a concrete number & it is subject to change in the future. I cannot spot any errors or irregularities with grammar. So far the story is intriguing enough that it does not bore me a single bit. Here is my verdict about the story. So far the writing quality is superb. No flaws or mistakes I can see, everything is well written. The story and idea flows well and is well conveyed. The plot is also good, in the eighth chapter I can see that there's a lot of going on even without dumping a lot of information. All I can say is that the story is well detailed and explained that I can understand the flow of the story. Characters is also well detailed, their traits and character can be seen clearly. If there's a thing like dimensions in novel writing, I can clearly see them in 3D. Very well detailed indeed. World Background is also good, it is well explained and you can get a gist about how the world works. Both from the heaven and the mortal realm, you can really define the difference between worlds. All in all, the verdict I gave is perfect five. Everything in this story is just perfect. I never got tired of reading and it is really easy to read and understand. I have a lots of fun reading this story. I swear I got hungry by just reading the details of the cooking done by the ML of the story. That's all for my review, and added the story to my library!

This is great piece of work. Kodus to the author! I like how the story developed and how clear it is for me to imagine the different settings the characters where in. It wasn't confusing and the transition of the story is seamless. There are no grammatical errors also. I hope the author though would still continue with this story and regularly update us with new chaptera. Tehehehehe
