I really wanted to like this novel... Novels about blacksmithing are my favorite. But i couldn't, i had to stop at chapter 17... The crafting chapters are perfect, it shows that the author cared and researched a lot about it. But the character interactions are so stupid and irrational that makes my head hurt. I really try to ignore all of that but omg i can't. Some situations are so stupid and forced that feel this story is written by a kid. I meant no disrespect, but this had to be said..

The whole scene in the Bar... At the first chapters. That alone was too much for me. The bar owner reaction and final dialogue of her. How the "bad gir" suddenly decided to go again the little girl out of nowhere (That plot was too forced) How the MC somehow held an NPC that was many lvs higher than him against the wall without any problem whatsoever. And overall every talk he had with the little girl it's just... Add to that the fact that the MC doesn't even act like a man of his age, isn't he supposed to be an old man?

best novel reverand insanity hands down best cultivation novel and romance novel since we all know spectral demon simps the mc *cough* *cough* . Not to mention that it is just great writing overall; it is pretty easy to see how much thought and effort the author spent on making his chapters. This would be my choice personally there is some bias towards because it's just so fucking cool. Never the less I would still pick it even if I didn't like it as much. The execution, writing and story are all amazing and well thought through.
I have read ch1. To 468 so far and I have to disagree with your review of this book. This book is way more than just a novel about blacksmithing and the story and character progression so far is some of the finest I've seen in capturing how people would actually act and react. The MC progression character wise by the author is amazing
