I was growing up on the Starship Troopers :D one of my favourite movies out there. But one thing I have never understood was that the Federation had very advanced technology but their weapon technology sucks

Nope, firearms... f**ing firearms, with those you could hardly fight against an endless army of bugs, also their armors were nothing more than plates of scrap iron or whatever

This story has a good premise and has a lot of potential. It's just that updates are really slow. I do really like the introduction of another sentient akein race into the starship troopers story.

Your writing really needs more polishing. Instead of rushing through the day, you should spend more time on describing the present: who is doing what. In addition, it should be "82th Platoon" and not "platoon 82". Or the armed forces in Starship trooper is structured differently from present day.
