Honestly I love the character and how the author shows the progression of his character. I love how he mc sticks to his logic and ways he does things and never changes for anyone.

The story is basically TDG but set in the modern time. It's not an exact copy but draws a lot of inspiration from it. My biggest complain is probably the pacing. It goes though the story really fast and doesn't let the readers savor moments in the stories because a new scene is already happening on the next page. I guess that's good for fitting in as much story as possible in fewer pages but also makes it feel lacking in depth. The story itself is predictable and isn't really exploring anything groundbreaking so far. The most interesting thing about it is that it's set in the modern world so I wonder how long that novelty can hold up. The MC is a bit too arrogant for no reason but it seems pretty par for the course for these type of stories. The side characters fall into either antagonistic characters who gets wowed by the MC and then falls in line/die or characters that I would call "reaction faces" whose sole purpose is to show how great the MC is/fawn over him. Again, par for the course for these type of stories. Art-wise, the characters have pretty generic anime faces and there isn't really any distinctive quality to the martial arts. The artist also has issues depicting good action scenes with fights looking like a series of poses rather than being fluid. Even with the above criticism, I did read through all of the currently available chapters because this type of story is my guilty pleasure. So if you do enjoy an OP MC face-slapping and wrecking everyone, give this a read.

so after the novel got banned and the author went missing there was someone who was looking for a way to make quick cash and then he noticed that a really famous novel that ranked no 1. monthly on (chinese website that starts with q but i can't type or review gets deleted) many times and that the author mysteriously disappeared and then he was like wow, there's really famous novel and author disappeared. let me check the copyright laws are, oh wait there are no copyright laws in china. and then he was like wow i found the perfect way to make money. no 1. novel is extremely famous so there's no need to advertise no 2. novel is extremely famous so there will be lots of readers and i can make lots of money no 3. novel is extremely famous so everybody already read the novel which means i can just cut out 90% of the story no 4. author is missing therefore i get to keep all the money then he was like how should i make the manhua exciting so that lot's of people will read, after all the novel was a masterpiece so probably not a lot of people will enjoy the manhua. aha, let's make a chen fan killing montage, after all everybody already read the novel so they don't care whether or not there's plot in it so i'll just have chen fan kill people and kill people and kill more people. and that actually worked, lots of people enjoyed chen fan killing people. but, the problem is international readers don't know this and are wondering why there's no plot. even though the chen fan killing montage is pretty good it's nothing compared to the novel. so go read the novel first.

Main character is a one dimensional asshole who treats everyone else like **** and the audience is expected to root for him. There is no struggle, there is no character development, it's just the same story arch over and over. The main character is strong, others look down on him because they underestimate him, he either beats those people down or kills them, everyone is in awe of his power, he is appointed as the leader of this group of people, he moves on to another area / social circle, rinse and repeat. Meanwhile the translation is clumsy and at times incoherent. All other characters in the series are shallow and poorly written, and the whole series feels like a love letter to the "majestic" and "miraculous" world of eastern medicine. Not worth spending coins on.

Great Manhua keep up the great work. Recommend it to everyone who loves Manhua. Even those who love Manhwa can also give it a try, it won't disappoint!@
