You know man I'm having a hard time understanding why this series is so praised, I've read 2200+ chapters (mtl) and I can say w confidence that this series is at best average. Why? Well mate, let me tell you, it doesn't have a unique universe and premise like Daoist GU, the universe in which this series happens is your average Warlock of the Magus World like universe w a bit of D&D, with all of their tropes, even more, this series is nowhere near as satisfying or entertaining as WOTMW. The MC is boring, the series is overfilled with fillers, you know I never disliked fillers as I can understand to some extent why they exist but here we are overwhelmed by them like there are a hundred chapters of worthless filler. The MC is well, very bland and boring like he isn't anything special or noteworthy, you probably have seen a few other MC just like this one in some other series. My biggest problem w this series is by far is progression like it's so fkin slow, it's even slower than e frikin snail. This world supposedly has 7-8 ranks (not taking into consideration the additional apprentice realm, every magus starts from here) that we know of (it most likely has more), now let me ask you, how many chapters do you think it takes the MC to reach the magus realm, yes the first realm, the realm after apprentice realm? Did you say 300? Maybe 500, even 1000? NO, YOU ARE WRONG IT TOOK FKIN 2000 CHAPTERS FOR THE MC TO REACH RANK 1 MAGUS, AND THERE ARE AT LEAST 7 REALMS, 2000 FKIN CHAPTERS, and I'll let you know that your average web novel series has somewhere between 1000-2000 chapters, now can you understand just how bad the power progression is? You might think maybe he has some special skills that let him as a rank 1 magus to defeat those above him, but no you are wrong, the MC can't even beat a rank 2 magus. Yeah, 2k chapters and this is where we got, this is even more frustrating when the MC is surrounded and used by rank 2+ magus. So yeah, this series was decent at the beginning, I'm someone who doesn't mind slow development, Daoist Gu is the best example, it was somewhat slow at the beginning but in the end, it became insanely good, but here the author overdid it to such an extent where he broke the series... Like it took the MC 2k chapters to reach rank 1, then many how chapters it will take for him to reach rank 9, tens of thousands of chapters? So yeah in the end I would honestly never recommend this to anyone, it's way way way too slow placed and very unsatisfying, you would expect some mind-blowing story w so much development, but no we get none of that, it's just your average human mortal in his very slow journey to the apex.

The story is fun so far (current translated chaps) but i didn't know it would take him that long to become rank 1 magus. All in all it doesn't matter. The novel (translation)is dropped anyway.

Well... I quite like this novel. So, here are a few replies to your concerns. First of all, about the WMW power system. Rank 1 - Transform your spiritual power to your element. Rank 2 - Visualise your spiritual power. Rank 3 - solidify it. Rank 4 - Transform your spiritual power to soul power. Rank 5 - Fill your soul with soul power. Rank 6 - Soul is overfilled with soul power and get into a law. Rank 7 - Learn a law. Rank 8 - Learn multiple law and then find a path. Rank 9 - Learn space-time duo and integrate it into your path. Some things mentioned above happen on a stage or are needed to get into a stage. Been a long time since read WMW(correct me if I am wrong). On the other hand, in this novel, even though the system hasn't been specified much after rank 3, below that rank, a Wizard needs to create a new spell that no one in the all 5 Wizarding world has ever created. It has to be unique. I can't even stress enough how tough that is. Almost in every novel, every MC and others too just copy the spells/cultivation techniques of other. Even in the novels where MC creates a new technique, he's almost less than 0.1% of the people there who have ever created something. So, just imagine how difficult it would be for everyone to create a new unique spell in history or no matter what you do, you'll stay on your rank.

Man, I mean I agree with you that it is slow af, but MC actually becomes a wizard around chapter 1400. Also, it's not like WMW had a completely original setting itself. The author of WMW ain't called the Plagiarist for nothing.

Creating new spells is only for True Knowledge wizards.

THIS IS AN ACTUAL REVIEW WITH DETAILS AND SUMMARY. READ IT. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR THE NEW RELEASE NOVEL AND THEREFORE IS ONLY UP TO DATE ON THE MOST RECENT CHAPTER (14). Tags: Male Lead; Magic; ? Age Rating: 12+ - No strong language thus far in the first 14 chapters, but violence is likely to occur and there has been some slight horror themes. Summary: A man calling himself Jon is transported to a different world, carrying with him only a plant and the object used to transport himself there- the Alien Eye. The noble Padt Family saves him from his near-death state and takes him in, offering him a job as a fruit grower. This is not his story. Twenty years later, Viscount Noah Padt, the man who originally took in Jon is dead, and his eldest son Leon Padt stands to inherit. Angor Padt, the younger son, has been mentored by Jon, and learned of a strange place called "Earth." However, Jon, at a mere fifty-some years of age, is withering away. He tells Angor that "Gaia's Will," or the will of this world, is rejecting him for not being originally from there. When Count Eton comes through, seeking the "Morning Dew," or a tea made from the plant Jon had brought with him, a wizard is accompanying him. Wizards are the stuff of myths and legends, but this one reveals himself for the Morning Dew. After it helps him achieve a breakthrough, he offers the Padts one favor. Though Angor first tries to save Jon, the wizard fails. Instead, Angor asks for the oppurtunity to become a wizard. During his testing, it is revealed that Angor does indeed have the necessary talent. Translation Quality: 5/5: There are no obvious grammar or spelling errors, and everything seems fine. Stability of Updates: 4/5: Hard to judge. I'm giving it a 4/5 since we can't tell this early on in the translation. Story Development: 5/5: Already interesting and unique. Instead of centering around the transmigrator (Jon), it instead follows someone else who is trying to save him. A refreshing change from the multitude of reincarnation/transmigration/time travel stories on Webnovel. Additionally, the story seems to be avoiding most the extremely obvious cliches, such as a family drama over the line of succession (that we see in almost EVERY female lead novel and quite a few of the male lead novels here). In fact, this line is stated by two servants talking about the line of succession since Leon will inherit everything: "Those family conflicts you read about in the drama novels won't happen here." Character Design: 5/5: Characters are unique and have their own personalities. Also, people can CHANGE THEIR MINDS. Wow. Mindblowing! The wizard, who originally planned to burn down Padt Manor in search of the Morning Dew, changes his mind and later offers them a favor when they give it to him out of their own goodwill. World Background: 2/5: As soon as the wizard comes, we discover there's a whole other larger world out there. ...this is honestly so overused. Main character coming from a tiny backwater? Discovers powers? It's extremely cliche, and I expected better. Overall: A nice change of pace from most of the cultivation novels here. I will note that it does seem to have some cultivation aspects, with breakthroughs and ranks for the wizards. I will continue reading this! Please like this if you want to see more actual review and not just "Guuuuuuuddd" or "Ugh terrible" in the review sections! Also note that this is an early review supposed to give people an IDEA of what the story is like, and that there are only 14 chapters out!
