He has flaws which I'm well aware of, he lacks the same drive as Issei, he's not an op character. But he is a hardworking person, and I wanted to showcase this. Hachiman wants to change and is changing, and with time he'll continue improving both power wise and personality wise. If it helps, there won't ever be a ntr thing in this fic, but I know you didn't mean it that way. Hachiman was not chosen to replace Issei since the boy exists, he is not made to become a harem king cause he is not Issei. He wants only one thing and that is too live and bring back Vritra...and that might happen sooner than y'all think. Chapters may seem a bit dark now, but it'll change with the upcoming chapters. Still, I'm sorry I couldn't write a suitable character to your liking...let's see if the future chapter rekindle your interest in my fic.

I looked at it at a Third-Point Perspective per se. Inside of the story, people would naturaly lean towards Issei since he had a Longinus, the strongest class of sacred gears. If you had watched Original Hachiman from his own anime, he's a proud "Loner", whilst Issei had friends and everyone in his school knew him as a Pervert, this gives out that he is much more charismatic than Hachiman. In their own dreams and how much they would sacrifice themselves for it, Isse is better since he would cassualy sacrifice a lim for his dream, whilst Hachiman on the otherhand didn't even had a dream. Taentwise, if you have read the novel itself, you would be able to know that Issei became a Super-Class being in less than a decade, much faster than Vali who literakly had the same sacred gear as Issei as well as the Lucifer Bloodline, Issei also manage to create many personal abilities which means, abilities he can only use. Mentalwise, Hachiman is depressed whilst Issei had hope for his dream, it doesnt matter if its having a dream of harem, its still a dream. You can see how better Issei is than Hachiman, but of course Issei here woulndt have his plot armor so we can already expect Hachiman would be better than him through time and effort, what I fear is the other characters in the story, they have emotions too, so it is safe to say that characters in the story is willing to antagonize Hachiman for Issei since he is better 'currently'.
