I enjoy the story overall, it has an interesting plot line and I am able to fathom what kind of world the author is trying to create. The character design is okay, though I believe that the protagonist is TOO powerful, creating some sort of weakness or opponent the MC can’t defeat at first. I understand that a large premise of the story at this point is that he is such a high rank, surpassing everyone in the town he is currently in, but bringing that sort of conflict would make the story more enticing, getting readers wondering what will happen next. As for the plot, I like it, though I may be a tad biased because novels about killers and what not is my personal preference. I believe the author truly has something going, and I enjoy the different species and magical classes, etc. Though, I believe the author is throwing too much in the reader’s face too quickly. If the author wants the reader to TRULY understand how everything works, the importance of certain things (Cultivation & Ancient Magic Theory for example) they should take some time to explain it, it could be through dialogue, the MC reading that book that Scar pointed out when he said that only certain people can open, etc. The updates are quite frequent and the author truly does make an effort to update regularly, and makes the chapters longer than usual if they forget a day or have an extremely sparse chapter. The quality of writing is what may throw some people off of this otherwise fun read. The author will often use the wrong “to” or “there”, personally, I am not very bothered by this, but it could become confusing for other readers and makes the novel harder to read and take seriously. Before posting, it would be best if the author did a spell check on the chapter, determining if everything is correct. Overall, I would recommend this book once it has been more fleshed out, mostly because it is still very much beginning and there is a lot left to see and develop. 3.5 stars.
