This is probably one of the top best original stories I've read on here thus far. The way the author writes is very descriptive and creates a visual in the reader's mind. It's nothing like your typical lighthearted historical novel. It has a dark edgy side to it as well as a warmth. The character portrays realistic traits, love, hatred, weakness, strength, and her vulnerable side. She's a stoic character but will crack when those she cares for are involved. I will say however, there are a few grammatical mistakes, but overall they're easy to read. This story really brings in emotions in the writing. It's also slow-paced but in a good way. Developing a proper connection with the characters relationships and giving you a view of her journey. It's dark at most times but also has many humorous scenes. I would give this story a read if you're interested in a strong and vulnerable character. Please keep writing author!
