First off I want to give a disclaimer and say that I have only read up to chapter 679. Ok so getting into the story was pretty easy for me. I enjoyed the first 300ish chapters with only minor complaints that were really just me nit picking. However, the more I got into the story the more the story became a chore for me to read. I feel like the author had amnesia when writing this story because the details the author includes are completely forgotten about only a couple of chapters later. what makes this especially frustrating is that these details are key for Lin li to progress. For example he gets a crossbow with his second piece of debris. You would think that the crossbow might play a key role in the story since, I don’t know, maybe rhe most powerful weapon the stars of fury is a crossbow. But the author never mentions it ever again. Another example is his new servant he gets Norfellr. When he first meets him hes a “pure blooded vampire” that means hes at least 18+. This has been established already and there are many examples of this being true in the story. This vampire is actually able to deal the a magical beast that level 17 with his bare hands. YET only a couple chapters later the author seemingly forgets this due to convience sake and converts him into a level 17 vampire that is pretty useless all things considered. The author changes the story without considering the readers perspective and it is absolutely infuriating. There are so many examples of him forgetting plot points he could write another 1000 chapters if he ever followed up on any of them. The main character himself could use some work as well. For a character who has mastery at the very least in literally every profession, he hardly ever uses his skills to actually improve himself. Instead lf doing what the book title suggests and crafts to power himself up, he resorts to dungeon raiding. Why? Because hes lazy. This book was ok but its one of those that you read when you get bored and Are waiting for other books to update new chapters.

the worst part is how the side characters are dropped. there was a girl that was HEAVLY hinted to be an important quest, but when mc finally gets to the quest he forgets about her, even when he returns to the city he left her in. there was a kid that had "great potential" as a warrior and went off to train and then... nothing. the mc got a rare sub-dragon pet and let it train, but was never mentioned again, even when he later gets a legendary dragon. i hate making emotional connections only to have them torn away again and again.

As usual, I read to chapter 10 to get a feel of the fic before writing a review. Author is at least honest about where this story is heading with the chapter 1 face slapping, I appreciate that, that's why I continued instead of dropping it immediately. Typical mary sue character in a typical trashy xianxia plot; a typical author's self indulgent fic. I also didn't know otakus are so OP irl. Can talk smoothly to girls/people, "manly aura", adapting to new world instantly, can start slaughtering monsters 1 month in, cold calm and collected in intense fight after 3 months. Word choice from either author or translators are weird. Don't use obscure/difficult words if readers have to check dictionaries for their meaning, and stop using words with negative connotations to make characters seem "cool", it just comes off like a 14 year old wannabe edgelord. After the whole psychopath thing, all I can see here is the next coming of Ted Bundy. He gets to talk to a pretty girl a few chapters later, and you know he's going to start collecting those Barbie dolls eventually. There are always morals that are highly suspect with these type of fics, that in turn makes me doubt the author themselves. Main point is usually the way they treat other people, it's ****ty and insidious. Then they create excuses to minimize the consequences, sometimes even forgoing that and just bleaching themselves white. Nothing organic about the interactions at all, no different than robots trying to emulate human. Like all other badly written self indulgent fic that will get you nowhere, it's never going past 2 stars for me.

Story is about a crafter but his power doesn't come from crafting but from magic he learns from some master after he wakes up. The crafting isn't exciting or interesting. The author just say "he crafted x,y potion and sold them". He was supposed to come from a game but there is no LITRPG elements, no mana, status or anything. There aren't even levels and no explanation is given on why he can't won't learn higher level spells or why one spell is stronger than the other. Even though his avatar was a low level smurf, aparently he has equiped legendary equipment on it? Who does that? Aren't there level requirements? MC had supreme mage avatar in a game though luck? Makes no sense just like the rest of the story. He is the overpowered biggest dikus major laser supaman hero only because he is the MC and that's it, who cares about logic in storytelling. A crafter that doesn't get stronger with his items but by learning spells and blasting everyone that offends him. The crafting is just an excuse to make money and fame fast. He kills manticores, wyverns and other strong beast in one spell at the first chapters, even though he only has level 1 spells, just because the author said so, and his real enemy when he gets to a city is... you guessed it, a **** for brains YOUNG MASTER! (that later decided to kill him with the whole backing of his family because some girl rejected him) This is a copy and paste wuxia novel, poorly written and with so much faulty and cringy worldbuilding. The author has no idea how games work nor how to properly set a western/game-like magical system. This is terrible!

If you have never read a typical Chinese trashy story, this novel might be an eye opener for you. The world background is poor. The characters are one dimensional. Girls are non existent, just pretty trophies that are bound to fall for the MC. Warning about Sexist content. Young masters and their stupid clans will antagonize the MC for lame reasons only to get humiliated and destroyed. The plots are not well planed, instead they revolve around the same bad guy archetype that appear out of nowhere, ask to be slapped in the face then disappear while the MC is depicted as bad-ass. Since this story seems to be built with crafting and game element in mind, you would expect something from it. No. The MC is OP from the start without real need for items to boost his strength so if he ever craft some OP items, it will just go from Easy difficulty setting to super easy. Worse, the ingredients, i mean the super rare type/impossible to find, are now appearing out of thin air in front of the MC. To sum it up, in just 22 chapters this story has already laid solid foundation for a totally garbage story that have no real goal but to use the same boring setting again and again. And, of course, the MC personality is garbage as well but described as super cool by the author. He is a complete moron that never stop to think but is described as a genius. The illusion might work because all the bad guy are dumb to the extreme. The game system part is fake, this is just another typical piece of junk that Chinese seems to love.
