First off I want to give a disclaimer and say that I have only read up to chapter 679. Ok so getting into the story was pretty easy for me. I enjoyed the first 300ish chapters with only minor complaints that were really just me nit picking. However, the more I got into the story the more the story became a chore for me to read. I feel like the author had amnesia when writing this story because the details the author includes are completely forgotten about only a couple of chapters later. what makes this especially frustrating is that these details are key for Lin li to progress. For example he gets a crossbow with his second piece of debris. You would think that the crossbow might play a key role in the story since, I don’t know, maybe rhe most powerful weapon the stars of fury is a crossbow. But the author never mentions it ever again. Another example is his new servant he gets Norfellr. When he first meets him hes a “pure blooded vampire” that means hes at least 18+. This has been established already and there are many examples of this being true in the story. This vampire is actually able to deal the a magical beast that level 17 with his bare hands. YET only a couple chapters later the author seemingly forgets this due to convience sake and converts him into a level 17 vampire that is pretty useless all things considered. The author changes the story without considering the readers perspective and it is absolutely infuriating. There are so many examples of him forgetting plot points he could write another 1000 chapters if he ever followed up on any of them. The main character himself could use some work as well. For a character who has mastery at the very least in literally every profession, he hardly ever uses his skills to actually improve himself. Instead lf doing what the book title suggests and crafts to power himself up, he resorts to dungeon raiding. Why? Because hes lazy. This book was ok but its one of those that you read when you get bored and Are waiting for other books to update new chapters.

LIKEthe worst part is how the side characters are dropped. there was a girl that was HEAVLY hinted to be an important quest, but when mc finally gets to the quest he forgets about her, even when he returns to the city he left her in. there was a kid that had "great potential" as a warrior and went off to train and then... nothing. the mc got a rare sub-dragon pet and let it train, but was never mentioned again, even when he later gets a legendary dragon. i hate making emotional connections only to have them torn away again and again.
