Made it to chapter 20. I was hooked after the first three chapters then I got lost in chapter 19 and was confused in chapter 20. At first I thought this was going to be a fantasy transmigration story but cultivation was thrown in there too and I internally groaned. THOUGH this story does have a different element to it. The sorting on ten year olds gives you that wonderful sense of Harry Potter with the sorting hat instead of a hat you touch an orb and instead of just one test there is three. There are literally very minimal grammatical errors and makes the flow absolutely wonderful except for some words you have to look up all but one was properly used. Can't remember the word it starts with a "d" near the end of the chapter when he's talking to granduncle Byron, it's a noun that was not used well but whatever, your novel. There is an air of mystery to it all, which I love but I think I have it worked out that I can see it coming. I will keep this one in my library and see if my guess is correct, but the hits are subtle that I think most people will come to the same conclusion the only question is why. I would love to post my theory but that's a major spoiler and I don't want the author to hate me or have to change the story. I was thrown in the first chapter when you quoted Shakespeare and thought it was going to be something completely else but your way with words are quite enchanting.

LIKEThank you for your wonderful review and pointing out the typo. I meant to write "discretion", not "digression." It is now fixed. Mystery is a major element in this story. Everyone can guess. I wont be angry. Rather, I'm curious about what readers think is going on. Mysteries should encourage theories and be multifaceted so everyone can enjoy being right on some points and find their expectations twisted at other points. Both guessing right ahead of time, and guessing wrong to have it click at the end are enjoyable. I hope both will happen. The plot points won't change due to anyone's guess. I would only write the hints more cryptically in the future if too many things are guessed correctly.
