This is a breath of fresh air. A selfish protagonist who cares not about being a hero/ saving /protecting. Only cares about becoming an immortal which reflects what 90% of us would do if we had the chance of stepping into such a universe.

I don’t know about 90% brah, I admit immortality can be cool and sounds very tempting as I’m sure most aristocrats and royalties from long ago wish for immortality, heck there’s even folklore tales of ways to be immortal like eating mermaids flesh or philosopher stones and **** like that but in the end you got to ask yourself this one question. (Do I really want to live forever? Watching everyone I love grow old and dies while I remain to walk the earth in solitude? ). I would go insane after the first 50-100 years
90% seems way to high. Would I seek immortality in this new world. Of course. Would I gleefully trample over innocents or perform other horrors to achieve that goal? No. If I have to sacrifice huge portions of my personal morals to achieve the goal then what is the point? The thing at the end would have little resemblance to the me of now.
