I loved this in the beginning- the story had a very interesting premise in terms of how crimes had been committed and furthermore having a female protagonist in a detective novel was unusual. But the quality dropped as coincidences upon coincidences piled up with bizarre explanations, and even more disappointingly female lead proved to be a scaredy-cat who ran to a stranger’s (male lead) home at the first sign of trouble. Male lead’s personality is also weird and I found it very difficult to like him. Overall, not highly recommended (maybe if you are bored and have no other mystery novels to read- I know they are hard to come by).

LIKEI actually like this novel because it portrays the reality that not every detail can be explained. And the FL is not accustomed to feeling this kind fear as she's an otaku and novel author and has almost zero social interactions. I admit that the part where she lived in Bai Muchuan's home was kinda too far fetched but everything is far fetched when it comes to ficitional novels. The mystery of her sixth sense is also bugging me so much XD but I guess that's why I like her. She's a strong woman who knows what's right and what's wrong and even in this world full of practical choices, she's not led astray by the pressure and stays firm to her beliefs. She also knows what she wants. Anyway, I'm just trying to get more readers for this book cause I like it so much and it hurts my heart to see it be ignored by others if they're persuaded by your review :)
