One of the best novels in qidian. It's suspenseful and each chapters challenges my courage and imagination. Even the romance is suspenseful XD. It's not the type of cliché romance stories that the guy is immediately infatuated. There are many ups and downs in the relationship and it's not perfect and that's the exact reason why I love this novel. It feels real. You can sometimes relate to certain situations and the ambiguity of their relationship will send your emotions in a rollercoaster. You will be ashamed for her in a minute and then feel proud of her in the next. It's somehow like having a friend. You can connect to the characters in a peculiar way and you'll find yourself being enlightened by life lessons. It's really a great story because it shows that not all relationships start almost instantly. The romance between the two main leads is not slow paced but is a normal relationship between two human beings. They have to get to know each other first, get comfortable and build their trust for each other. They need a strong foundation for their relationship to make it last as long as it could because a relationship built only on sparks and amusement is not a healthy relationship (in my opinion). So anyway, I IMPLORE the readers here in qidian to try out this novel. Especially to the readers who are sick of all the carbon copy novels here in qidian that are like viruses. XD

This is a novel encompassed with mystery, ethics, family ties, and romance. Of course, the highlights of this book are the murder cases. Although it’s a set in modern-day society where none of the characters have a system or any other cheats, the author manages to delight me with her writing, creative plots, and a good pace without dragging her story. I marvel at the way the author links up the clues and plot to explain the individual cases as well as paving the way to unravel the huge conspiracy behind the individual murders. Romantic plots are light-hearted so readers can take a breather from the plot of gruesome murders.

An amazing spinoff of the classic Nightmare on Elm Street series, Murder The Dream Guy brings the series to a brutal, gripping conclusion that is cathartic in all the worst ways. Some copyrighted names have been changed to avoid legal issues, but that hardly should impair your enjoyment.

A 5-star landslide for me! Detective stories here in Webnovel are quite few, and you can only stumble upon good ones sporadically. When "Murder the Dream Guy" popped out of the upcoming novels, I gave it all of my energy stones everyday, so I can add it to my library ASAP. And as expected, I didn't waste any of my energy stones! The novel is great! Xiang Wan's a doll, especially when Bai Muchuan flirts at her. But that's just one of the many facets of this novel. You have to be on the lookout for the mystery as well. Each of the case proves to be enthralling you'd find yourself racking up your own brain to solve them and wanting to give out your own deductions too. The supporting characters each have their own quirks and individuality it's so fascinating to read their developments in the course of the novel. And the updates, wow! Each chapter is long, makes you feel every chapter is worth the SS you spend. Overall, this is a must-read. I recommend this to everyone who loves mystery romance to give it a try!

Basically, the main explanation they said is that the amount of collection (bought coins spent to unlock chapters {not the bonus ones we occasionally received} and coin gifts we give) isn't enough for the upkeep of a novel translation. Example: The salary of a translator per chapter is $30 (just a sample {it can vary from the teams}). The amount they spent to pay for an editor is $30. But the collection amount is somewhere $300 per month. Sample tally: Per chapter, there's a 29 coins. Everyday, their post goal update is 2 chapters. So there's a 54 coins per reader. And that's like around a dollar a day based on the coins payment system. Now, multiply it by (let's say) 30, then it's (2*30)*29 = 1,740 coins. Now, think how many people nowadays are gifting some coins on novels. With 1,740 coins alone if we convert it into cash using the lowest amount of coin package (50 coins per $0.99) in their system, (1,740/50)*$.099 = 34.452 Now that money will still need to be broken up, ⅓ for the original Chinese/Korean author, ⅓ for Webnovel, and the other ⅓ is for the team. In that $30 something, only around $10 will be sent to the team to be divided for the editor, translator, and team management. I know we both love this novel but let's be real that a lot of people would rather consume something free rather than to pay for it. This is why novels with low ranking and have less loyal readers gets killed when these ends doesn't meet! Remember the amount of each editors and translators makes per novel doesn't get affected in these paywalls. For every chapter they finished, they will get amount of what is stated on their contracts. If we are basing that sample tally I made, this novel needs at least 100 regular paying readers for this to be continued! 😭😭😭😭 This would be all my last message here until this (maybe) might continued (hopefully) soon.
